There are many problem occur with the manager of hotel business. There are 2 type that commonly found in the hotel business. First is that the manager only complaint.That means the manager only find the problem with the business and tell the employees about problems. However, they don’t care how to solve the problem. This type of manager is very common. He wants to show that he is very diligent and care a lot about his job, but he does not care how the work be. He wants to trust the owner for improving his position. It may be good with manager, but surely bad damage with the business. Because the business don’t develop at all. Another type of manager that may cause a problem is that they do not understand the culture, This was very damage with the hotel business because instead of service the customer but they can make the customer feel bad. Therefore if the owener focus on this problem and hiring the good manager, the business will be surely sucessful.

The Relationship Between Owner, manager

According to Rick Swig(August,2004), the relationship between the owner and manager is very important for the hotel business. Because if the manager have the good relationship with the owner the quality of work will be good and will surely improve. First thing is the manager and the owner have to respect each other because if they don't respect each other, many problem will occur and will make the business slower. Next is the owner and manager should listen to the opinion each other that will make the business more creative and each other will see the other side of the thinking that they never think. The owner have to coroporate with the manager, they must trust each other too. The last thing that the owner and the manager should have is the confidence, this was very important for the manager and the owner because if they have confidence, they will calm and solve the problem of the business, slowly but sure. But if they don't have confidence, they will afraid to face the problem and that will make the business improve slowly. Therefore if the manager and the owner follow the advice above, they will provide a sucessful business.

There are several people think that duty of the owner is the same with the manager. But it was really quite different such as the method to take care the customer that the manager will make themselves as the reception but the owner can provide them the special offer such as the discount of the service. The advantage of hire manager is that the owner have much more time to do another activities and sometime manager can save the time of the owner but the disadvantage is sometime the manager can't trust and it waste some money. The advantage that the owner manage the business by themselves is that someone can't cheat or do any illegal thing with the business and save the money from hire the manager, the disadvantage is that the owner have less time to spend with the family or do any activities, second is that sometime work is too much for one person, so it has the risk with the owner's health for working too hard. That all of the different of the owner and the manager that the people agree in which ways it depend on their opinion.
